About the Journal
Dharmadhikara: Journal of Human Ecology is a peer-reviewed, open-access, and quarterly academic journal focusing on the interdisciplinary study of humans, society, and the environment. Grounded in the person-in-environment framework, the journal highlights research on sustainability, human ecology, environmental ethics, social inclusion, governance, resilience, and community wellbeing.
We publish high-quality original research, reviews, and conceptual papers that examine socio-ecological challenges such as climate change, environmental degradation, inequality, ESG practices, local economies, indigenous knowledge, and technological transformation. Dharmadhikara particularly supports scholarship from the Global South, emphasizing context-rich, field-based, and theoretically robust work.
With its strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, ethical research, and sustainable development, Dharmadhikara aims to serve as a global platform for advancing knowledge that strengthens harmony between humans and natural systems and contributes to inclusive, just, and resilient futures.
